My Story
I am a researcher and educator passionate about addressing environmental challenges and promoting diversity in STEM fields. With a second Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Environmental Science at the City University of Hong Kong, my research focuses on climate extremes and their implications for human thermal comfort, energy demands, and water resources. My work in this area has been recognized through numerous prestigious grants, including the DAAD Fellowship, and has been pivotal in developing early warning systems for flood occurrences in Nigeria.
My academic journey began with a B.Tech and M.Tech in Meteorology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Nigeria, followed by a Diploma in Integrated Water Resources Assessments from the University of Twente, The Netherlands, a Ph.D. in Climate Change and Water Resources from the University of Abomey-Calavi, Benin, and another Ph. D. in Atmospheric and Environmental Science, City University of Hong Kong. With extensive teaching experience as a lecturer at FUTA and as a teaching assistant at the City University of Hong Kong, I am committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment. I have designed and delivered courses incorporating different teaching methods and materials, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all students.
In addition to my academic achievements, I have made significant contributions as a climate change consultant and researcher. Collaborative projects with institutions such as the Australian River Institute, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology University of Valencia, and Sustainable Solutions for Africa underscore my dedication to applying scientific research to real-world problems, particularly those affecting underrepresented communities. Mentoring young researchers and engaging in community service are integral to my mission of promoting equity and inclusion.
Through my research, teaching, and community engagement, I aim to inspire and make a meaningful impact on the academic community and society.

Teaching Methods
